The day begins with a gentle ascent to Ghandrukkot (2100m.) followed by a sharp descent to the Kimrung Khola (1700m.). Chhomrong is a gateway to the Annapurna Sanctuary hike and is home to the Gurung, one of Nepal’s largest ethnic groups. The splendor of Chhomrong, lying in the shadow of Mt. You’ll start your trek after breakfast. You will begin your walk to Deurali through the wet, cold grove of Bamboo and climb steadily on a few steep sections. It takes roughly six hours to walk from Sinuwa to Deurali (3220m). The trail up to Khumdighar is easy after leaving Sinuwa, where there used to be a checkpoint.
