The Chisapani Nagarkot Trek begins in Kathmandu. When you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport and tour the UNESCO Kathmandu Valley World Heritage Sites, the Chisapani Nagarkot Trek begins. We’ll first take a short trip to Sundarijal, a popular picnic location for city center residents. Chisapani is your first stop after a 4-5 hour walk from Sundarijal.

From the Chisapani, you will be heading towards the Lapsi fedi. The trip from Chisapani to Lapsi Phedi is enjoyable, as it takes you through the bush and allows you to hear birds. Finally, we arrive in Nagarkot after a 7-hour journey from Chauki Bhanjyang.

Nagarkot is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Nepal. In addition, Nagarkot, around 27 kilometers from Kathmandu, is a popular trekking location in Nepal. Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Kilometers: Kathmandu (1350m/1.35km)

Maximum Altitude: 1,350m/4,428 ft.

Meals: Dinner

Welcome to the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu!

As soon as you land at the Tribhuvan International Airport, you will see that one of our representatives will be there to welcome you to Nepal. Our team in the airport will receive you to the typical Nepali culture by putting “Tika and mala.” From the airport, you will be transferred to the chosen hotel in Kathmandu. You can also take a rest over there.

After some time again one of our representatives will be at your place to know if you want to visit any nearby places. Then, depending on your interest, you will be transferred to the Thamel area, one of Nepal’s major tourist destinations. As you return from the Thamel area, we will provide you with the trip’s details to the ChisapaniNagarkot Trek.

You will stay overnight in the Hotel of Kathmandu.

Day 2: Sightseeing Day in Kathmandu and prepare for the trip

Kilometers: Kathmandu ( 1350m/ 1.35km)

Trip duration: A whole day (Around 9 hours)

Before moving toward the Sundari Jal today, you will be visiting the different places of Kathmandu. You will be visiting the UNESCO world heritage sites such as Bouddhanath, Pashupatinath. Our itinerary package includes half-day sightseeing in Kathmandu.

Kathmandu is a beautiful city to visit. This place is also known as the city of Temples. Many tourists from all around the world come to see here. Pashupati Nath is the major attraction for Hinduism followers. Similarly, Bouddhanath stupa is one of the rare places where the Tibetan performs various rituals. 

During the trip, you can also taste different cuisines found in Nepal. For example, you Can taste Thakalikhana or taste other Newari food in Kathmandu.

You will stay overnight in the Hotel of Kathmandu.

Day 3: Dart to Sundarijal &then trek to Chisapani

Kilometers: Sundarijal (1.35km) &Chisapani ( 2.135km)

Trip duration: 5-6 hours

Maximum Altitude:Chisapani (2135m / 7004.59ft)

Early in the morning, after breakfast today, you will be driving to the Sundari Jal. It will take around 1 hour to reach the Sundari Jal. From Sundari Jal, we will begin our hike to Chisa Pani.

Chisapani is a town and Village Development Committee in the Khotang District of eastern Nepal’s Sagarmatha Zone. Chisapani is one of Kathmandu Valley’s most famous short treks. The path passes through Shivpuri National Park, which is known for its rich sub-tropical forest. Chisapani takes 4-5 hours to hike. Throughout the walk, you can hear the birds chirping.

You will stay overnight in the Chisapani.

Day 04: Trek to Nagarkot from Chisapani

Kilometers: Nagarkot (2.175km) / Chisapani (2.135km)

Trip duration: 4-5 hours

Maximum Altitude:Nagarkot (2175m / 7135.82 ft)

Today you will be heading to the Nagarkot. The hike duration will be of only 4 -5 hours. The path from Nagarkot to Chisa Pani is filled with forest. We gradually make our way to the lovely hilltop of Nagarkot, which offers spectacular views of the Himalayas, particularly at sunrise and sunset.

For today you will get an opportunity to witness the beautiful sunset view from the Nagarkot. Furthermore, the next day early in the morning, you will get a chance to see the speculator view of sunrise.

You will stay overnight in the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 05Hike to Changunarayan & back to Kathmandu

Kilometers: Nagarkot (2.175km) / Kathmandu (1.35km)

Trip duration: 2- 3 hours

Maximum Altitude:Nagarkot (2175m / 7135.82ft)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

We’ll visit Changunarayan Temple, a UNESCO world heritage site, after lunch. Then, we’ll go on a tour of several local Newari communities. You will observe that the homes and temples are constructed following traditional beliefs and customs.

You’ll be driving back to Kathmandu from Changunarayan. It will take around 45 minutes to arrive in Kathmandu, after which we will take you to your accommodation. You can now relax in your room after a hard day of hiking.

In the evening, we will provide you a small delicious farewell dinner. You will stay overnight in the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 06Departure from Kathmandu

Meals: Breakfast

Our representative will bring you to Tribhuvan International Airport a couple of hours before your flight.
