Chitwan National Park Tour, earlier named Royal Chitwan National Park, is home to a vast diversity of animal, bird, and plant species. It was founded in 1973 and covers a total area of 932 square kilometers. The park is 200 kilometers from Kathmandu, in the subtropical central Terai plains of Nepal’s Chitwan region.

The Park’s wilderness is a haven for at least 43 animal species, 450 bird species, and 45 amphibian and reptile species. Exotic animals such as one-horned rhinoceros, Bengal tigers, water buffalo, and wild elephants are found in the park. Besides, the cultural display and hospitality of the indigenous Tharu people are equally heartwarming.

Detail Itinerary

Day 1: Chitwan Arrival

8:00 a.m.

The journey begins with a tourist vehicle ride from Kathmandu to Chitwan, which takes about 5 hours.

1:00 p.m.

Our personnel will greet you when you arrive at Sauraha Bus Stand. Thereafter, you will be brought to the Hotel, where you will be given refreshments and a briefing about the hotel and its amenities. Your room will be assigned to you when you have been given your daily programs.

1:30 p.m.

At the hotel, you will be served lunch.

3:00 p.m.

A village visit of an ethnic Tharu community will be held, during which you get to discover about the Tharus’ language, culture, clothes, and way of life. The Terai region is mainly dominated by the Tharu community.

7:00 p.m.

In the evening, you will be taken to the Tharu Culture Dance Program which is fun to watch and participate in. It depicts native Tharu culture through an appealing stick dance done by a local Tharu group in a hall.

Day 2: Fullday Jungle Safari

6:00 am

Wake up and get refreshed to get started with today’s trip.

6:30 pm

Have a delightful breakfast.

7:00 a.m.

After breakfast, you will be escorted to the Rapti River for a Canoe Ride. It’s a fantastic place to go bird watching as well. This trip will allow you to witness a dancing peacock, a rhino sipping water, a Gharial Crocodile, and a variety of bird species. You’ll take a jungle walk on the way back while watching elephants bathe.

1:00 p.m.

Recharge yourself with a lunch.

2:00 p.m.

You’ll be taken to the twenty thousand on a jeep safari after having lunch. Along with this, you get to visit Crocodile Breeding Center.

8:00 p.m.

Dinner

Day 3: Fullday Jungle Safari

6:00 am

Wake up and get refreshed to get started with today’s trip.

7:00 pm

Have a delightful breakfast.

8:00 a.m.

After having breakfast, you will be taken to the Government Elephant Breeding Center.

1:00 p.m.

Recharge yourself with a lunch.

2:00 p.m.

You will go on an Elephant Safari in the forest after a canoe ride. Wild animals such as rhinos, tigers, leopards, deer, sloth bears, wild boars, monkeys, and others can be seen on the safari. You’ll also come across a variety of other mammals that have made Chitwan their habitat.

8:00 p.m.

Dinner

Day 4: Back to Kathmandu

7 a.m.

You’ll be served a delicious breakfast.

8 a.m.

As of your final day in Chitwan, you have a few hours in the morning to shop and visit the town. After breakfast, you’ll board a tourist bus to Kathmandu, which will take you along the same route.
