Overview

Chulu Far East Peak Climbing is a venturesome expedition. The peak serves as the easiest to climb among the other three. It is a beautiful peak in Nepal’s Manang Region that rises north of Marsyangdi Khola. Climbers looking for a somewhat mild peak climbing excursion would love this peak.

In 1955, a German expedition team became the first to summit the mountain. Prior technical climbing experience is not mandatory. The access, however, is difficult due to the steep terrain and scree slopes. This summit has been compared to the Everest region’s Island Peak.

The Chulu Far East Peak Climbing allows climbers to experience nature’s beautiful offerings. Annapurna II, III, and IV, Gangapurna, Manaslu, Glacier Dome, Pisang Peak, Chulu West Peak, and Dhaulagiri are among the Himalayan vistas visible from the summit of Chulu far east peak. Over the horizon, you can see the Tibetan grasslands to the north. In the spectacular Annapurna region, the trip passes through serene scenery, lush foliage, and traditional Gurung settlements.

The adventurous trails to the Chulu Far East Climbing begin from Kathmandu with a scenic drive to Besisahar and eventually to Chame. Hereafter, the trek begins passing through the diverse terrains. The route leads its way to the base camp with proper acclimatization and thus ascends for the summit.

The peak is accessible after an arduous hike from either base camp or high camp. There is a steep snow walk up to a height of 5,500 meters. Climbing Sherpas will attach ropes on the tougher portions. The top is in a very exposed position. The expedition then retraces its steps back to Kathmandu, bringing the journey to a close.
