  • Walking: 5 to 7 hours /day

The Dhampus Peak Climbing is a prominent trekking peak in Nepal, situated in the northern part of the Annapurna region. Thapa Peak is another name for it. The peak is located northeast of Dhaulagiri, the world’s seventh-highest mountain. Kurt Diemberger, an Austrian mountaineer, was the first to ascend it in 1960.

The Dhampus peak Climbing has developed a reputation as one of the Annapurna Range’s easiest trekking peaks. It is one of Nepal’s non-technical peaks. The climbing expedition includes a variety of activities, ranging from a walk through Mustang’s difficult terrain to a summit ascent of Dhampus Peak.

Dhampus Peak Climbing provides a spectacular perspective of the surrounding High Mountain ranges, including Dhaulagiri, Sita Chuchura, Nilgiri, Tukche Peak, Tilicho Peak, Thorong Peak, and others. The journey also provides an opportunity to learn about the flora and animals of the Annapurna Conservation Area’s subalpine and temperate highlands. In addition, observing the distinctive culture and tradition of the indigenous Thakali and Tibetan Buddhist communities living in historic Mustang is an unforgettable experience.

Dhampus Peak climbing begins with a drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. It allows climbing enthusiasts to explore the less traveled off-trail sections of the Dhaulagiri Circuit. The hiking track leads to the base camp through rhododendron trees and pasture meadows. The trek to the summit of Dhampus Peak progresses with good training and acclimatization. From the summit, the views of the mountains are stunning. The expedition concludes with a drive back to Kathmandu shortly after the successful attempt.
