The Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek is a 13-day premium trekking experience that follows the classic EBC route with upgraded private lodges, gourmet meals, and a scenic helicopter return flight from Gorak Shep to Kathmandu, skipping the long descent entirely.
The EBC Luxury Trek with Nepal Mountain Adventure starts from USD 2,999 per person, including a senior licensed Sherpa guide, porter, premium lodge accommodation, all meals, Lukla flights, and the return helicopter from Gorak Shep.
The Luxury Trek offers upgraded private en-suite lodges, gourmet dining, a dedicated senior guide, and a helicopter return from Gorak Shep instead of 4 days of walking back down, making it ideal for travelers who want comfort and maximum time at high altitude.
The trek takes 13 days in total, saving around 3 to 4 days compared to the classic 15-day itinerary because the return journey from Gorak Shep is done by helicopter, giving you more time without compromising on acclimatization.
Trekkers reach 5,364 m at Everest Base Camp and can summit Kala Patthar at 5,545 m for the most spectacular panoramic sunrise view of Mount Everest before boarding the helicopter return.
Two permits are required which are the Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit (~USD 30) and the Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Municipality Permit (~USD 20). The TIMS card is not required and Nepal Mountain Adventure arranges all permits for you.
The best times are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) for clear skies, stable weather, and safe helicopter operations. The helicopter return is weather dependent so spring and autumn give the most reliable flight windows.
The trek is rated moderately challenging with the same high-altitude terrain as the standard EBC route, but the premium acclimatization schedule, experienced senior guides, and helicopter return make it more manageable and safer for trekkers who are fit but less experienced.
Yes, Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) is a real risk above 3,000 m on any EBC route. NMA’s luxury itinerary includes built-in acclimatization days at Namche Bazaar (3,440 m) and Dingboche (4,410 m) and all senior guides carry supplemental oxygen and pulse oximeters.
Very nice tour and well organized by Nepal Mountain Adventure team. I recommend this company for tours and trek in Nepal.
Best luxury tour in Nepal.
One of the best luxury tour in Nepal. Love the way of company managing all the requirements for the trek. The guide was very co-operative and helpful.
Going on the Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek was like a dream come true. Nepal Mountain Adventure Family made it extra special. We stayed in very comfortable places and had delicious food. The guides were friendly and knew a lot about the area. Even though the trek was a bit hard, the luxury made it feel easier. When we got to Everest Base Camp, we saw the world’s highest mountain, and it was amazing. If you want a luxurious adventure, I really recommend going with Nepal Mountain Adventure Family. They know how to make it special!
A trek to Everest Base Camp is a once in a life-time adventure. In such a journey, your partner, the agency and more importantly, your guide play a very important role. I can proudly say, all my skepticism about both ‘Ace The Himalayas’ and our guides, Ram and Ramesh, were put to rest.
The trip was memorable from the start and after 8 grueling days of trekking, when we reached the Everest Base Camp, the sense of achievement, fulfilment and pride … words would fail to explain them.
