Overview

The Panchase trek is Nepal’s hidden gem. Hikers often overlook it in the same region as the Poon Hill Trek, Annapurna Circuit, and the Royal Trek. Panchase Trek is the perfect alternative if you want beautiful scenery and mountain peak views. This trek needs moderate fitness and is perfectly trekable to people of most ages. It is also one of the most affordable treks in Nepal, which is excellent for people on a budget.

The Panchase trek is a beautiful journey that covers many other beautiful places as well. Panchase hike is one of the best classic treks one can ever experience. Panchase stands in western Nepal around Pokhara. This trek offers enticing sightseeing and is so popular because of its uniqueness and the beautiful nature that we get to see during the trekking.

The route starts from the Pokhara valley and stretches from Panchase hill to the surrounding areas. The Pokhara valley could be viewed from the ridge at many places around during the trek. The 8-day trip begins in Kathmandu, where we get to visit several heritage sites.

Panchase trek allows us to experience short and easy yet rewarding trekking in the Annapurna Region of Nepal. During our Panchase trekking, we get astounding views of the nearby Himalayas, a great cultural experience. The beauty of plentiful flora and fauna with rich vegetation and unspoiled biodiversity will make you happy.

Panchase is one of the major hill stations in the Annapurna Region. It is also a holy site for Hindu people. The peak of Panchase Hill (2,500 m) has the best altitude to see Annapurna Himal’s eminence. However, you will also see other giant Himalaya peaks along your trek, including Lamjung, Dhaulagiri, Mt. Fish Tail, and Manaslu.

The best season for this trekking is September to June, except for the monsoon season because it is the rainiest territory in Nepal. And the leeches are present, and the trail is slippery & greasy at this time. Our walk goes through a few beautiful villages inhabited mainly by Gurung, Magar, Brahmin, Chhetri & Dalits. We will get to see local culture, customs, and antique ways of living. There is a small terrace in the sloppy and steep areas, which is exciting and worth observing.

The highest altitude of this trek is 2,517 m at Panchase danda, a divine goddess temple. Therefore, we don’t have to be scared about altitude sickness; any elevation-related problems do not occur at this height.
