Meals and Accomodation

Meals and accommodation during the Tsho Rolpa Trek are provided by the traditional teahouses/guesthouses along the trekking trails. Teahouses are the commonly available forms of accommodation during your high Himalayan journey. While the accommodation amenities offered by the teahouses are basic, the feel is homely. The teahouse owners welcome you wholeheartedly and you can get to experience authentic hospitality, which feels like a home.

You will find living spaces, toilets, bathrooms, and dining halls in teahouses on a shared basis. The more you reach higher altitudes, the availability of accommodations and provided facilities decreases, but their cost increases. This is due to the remoteness of the region and the difficulty in transporting the goods and amenities. Since the facilities are limited, it is wise to be self-sufficient with the required items to enhance your comfort during remote travel.

During your adventurous Rolwaling Tsho Rolpa Trek, you will enjoy board meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The meals served in teahouses are a mix of traditional/local and some popular Western cuisines. You can choose from veg and non-veg items based on your preferences. Likewise, you can also place an order for a specific meal based on your dietary plans. The teahouse menu items generally include dal bhat (rice, lentil, and pickle), momo, chowmein, pasta, mushroom soup, Yak steak, flatbread, jam and bread, gundruk and dhindo, sandwiches, burgers, eggs (scrambled, fried, and boiled), noodles, and drinks (tea, coffee, fruit juice, milk, etc.)

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is vital for any remote and high-altitude adventures, including the Rolwaling Tsho Rolpa Trek. Your wilderness endeavor can strike with several unforeseen circumstances that you might not be prepared for. During this Himalayan trek, you can face common injuries like sprains, twisted ankles, blisters, cuts, etc on traversing the mountainous trails. Likewise, heatstroke, hypothermia, dehydration, frostbite, altitude sickness, etc can prevail, which prevent you from continuing smoothly on your adventurous journey. With travel insurance, you will be assured of quick access to nearby health services in case of injuries and illnesses. Moreover, you will be relieved from the financial burden incurred for the medical treatment.

Besides, travel insurance compensates the losses caused due to several other reasons such as lost/delayed/stolen baggage, weather adversity and possible delays, natural disasters and trip cancellations etc. As travel insurance takes you out of the unthought-of accidents and emergencies, you will feel protected and stresslessly focus on your adventure.

While purchasing an insurance policy, we recommend you opt for an extensive package that is inclusive of immediate helicopter rescue and evecuation. After booking the Tsho Rolpa Lake Trek package with us, kindly submit your insurance papers so that we can use the policy to help you in case of uncertain emergencies.
