The Royal Trek is a quick and easy-going hike along with the excellent panorama of Annapurna Mountain. It lies inside the Annapurna region. It is known as Royal Trek because it was one of the trekking tracks for the Nepalese royal family. The royal highness Prince Charles also hiked through this trail during the 1980s with his 90 favorite people. This trek consists of cultural experiences with diversified ethnicities and hamlets that reside in this region. 

You will begin this Royal Trek from a beautiful lake-reserved city, Pokhara, then passes through a Gurung community. The Royal Trek walk has low altitude, typical Nepali villages, terraced fields, lakes, and majestic mountains like Fishtail, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Langtang, Lamjung, Nilgiri, etc. This place is appreciated by influential people like Mick Jagger, the singer of the Rolling Stones. We will make sure you will be using your week/ vacation fruitfully if you prefer Royal Trek as your goal.

Royal Trek Detail Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu

You will be entering Kathmandu, and our agents will be plucking you up at the airport and accompanying you to a motel near Thamel. You can unwind yourself from all the jetlags for some time and have your meal on time. Our agents may stroll you around the Thamel area where you can buy some souvenirs. After that, we will serve you authentic Nepali cuisine as your supper. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Sightseeing around the Kathmandu

Maximum Altitude: Kathmandu (1400m/ 4593.17 ft.)

Meal: Breakfast

You will be eating your breakfast and commence your day. Then your trek guide will take you for a visit to different and famous places around the valley. You will observe ancient and historical temples and buildings, some heritage sites like Pashupatinath Temple, Bouddhanath Stupa. You will have a pre-consultation with our agents and tour guide in the evening.

The day also marks for last trek preparation. There are nearby markets where you can visit and buy some trekking gear as per your requirement. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 3: Drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu by Standard tourist bus.

Maximum Altitude: Pokhara (822m/ 2696.85 ft.)

Traveled Kilometer: 200.5 km

Trip Duration: 30 minutes flight

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After eating your breakfast in the dawn, you will leave off for Pokhara on a tourist bus. You can witness marvelous views of fresh green hills and villages resting inside the bus. After entering the city of lakes Pokhara, you will notice standing mount Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Fishtail, Annapurna range, and others. After arriving, you will check in to your hotel, have your lunch, and then explore the places in Pokhara. You can wander around the lakes and have a great time.

Or if you have a time constraint, you can opt for the flight option. It is a 30 minutes flight. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 04: Drive to Bijaypur and trek to Kalikasthan

Maximum Altitude: Kalikasthan (1511 m/ 4957.34 ft.)

Traveled Distance: 16.5 km

Trip Duration: 5- 7 hours

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

You will ride to Bijayapur after your breakfast. After entering Bijayapur, you will be hiking towards Kalikasthan. You will be walking n hour through the flat paddy fields and cross the river. After passing the river, you will need to escalate up the trail to lead Kalikasthan. You will eat your lunch along your way. After getting there, you will rest for some time and explore the surrounding areas. You will have your supper at a local guesthouse and spend your night there.

Day 5: Trek from Kalikasthan to Patalu Danda

Maximum Altitude: (1600 metres)

Traveled Distance: 13.7 km

Trip Duration: 5- 6 hours

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

You will be strolling through the settlements the next day. You will lead along the mountain elevation that gives a good panorama of Annapurna and Lamjung Himal. You will visit several villages, their locals, and the forests of the rhododendrons, and spend your night at the nearby guesthouse in Patalu Danda.

Day 6: Trek from Patalu Danda to Syaglung

Maximum Altitude: Syaglung (1730 m/5675.853 ft.)

Traveled Distance: 12 km

Trip Duration: 5 – 6 hours

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

 Today, the hiking program ascends towards Syaglung. We will enjoy the vista of green forests, settlements and proceed to reach Syaglung. It is a typical Gurung settlement that is reached after passing a stone-paved path. Enjoy the rhododendron trees view and continue walking. Overnight in Syaglung teahouse.

Day 7: Trek from Syaglung to Chisapani

Maximum Altitude: Chisapani (1730 m/5675.853 ft.)

Traveled Distance: 12 km

Trip Duration: 5 – 6 hours

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today, you will be hiking to the highest elevation known for this trek Chisapani which is 1550 meters. You will be walking through the Gurung settlements, an exceptional opportunity to observe the local lifestyle. You will see Rhododendron and Sal trees densely. After you enter Chisapani, you will be watching an unusual panoramic scenario of the Himalayas. Night stay at a local guest house.

Day 8: Trek back from Chisapani to Begnas lake. Drive to Pokhara

Maximum Altitude: Pokhara (822m/ 2696.85 ft.)

Traveled Distance: 23 km

Trip Duration: 3 hours trek + 1 hour (drive)

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After you had your breakfast, you will travel halfway down to the hill to Rupatal and ascend about 200 meters to enter Sundare Danda. You will have to hike down to Begnas Lake, where you will loosen up for an hour of boating. We will transfer you to Pokhara in the hotel. Then you are free to explore the lake or buy souvenirs.

Day 9:Fly to Kathmandu

Maximum Altitude: Kathmandu (1400m/ 4593.17 ft.)

Traveled Kilometer: 200.5 km

Meal: Dinner

After breakfast, we bid farewell to the stunning lake city of Pokhara and towards our flight for Kathmandu. Experience the scenic trip with hills while traveling to Kathmandu. After arriving in Kathmandu, we have the rest of the day off to rest or do some souvenir shopping. To mark the successful completion of our journey, we will have a farewell dinner in the evening.
