Rupina La Pass Trek is Located in the Manaslu region of Nepal, Rupina La Pass Trek is one of the most extraordinary and best trekking routes in the northwest of Kathmandu. This trekking trail will take you to various passes along with the ethnic villages, which it offers majestic views of Manaslu peak. Trekking to Rupina is a perfect combination trip to lower and upper Manaslu, finally reaching to Annapurna region.
Trekking to Rupina pass is a challenging trek of Nepal, where you will visit many green hills, gorges, and glaciers. You will notice that this area is geographically spectacular and culturally beautiful.
It will give you stunning views of Mt.Manaslu (8,163m), Himal Chuli (7,893m), Ganesh Himal(6,672m), along beautiful Himalayns scenery, dense forests with flowers, lush valleys, beautiful landscapes, and wild animals. Rupina trek lies in the lap of the Manaslu Range 4,610m, which is mostly snow-covered in winter weather.
You will notice and experience rich art, culture, and the unique lifestyle, food, and traditions of locals during your trek. This trek will take you to the most ancient villages and trek through the trail where there are no human settlements for continuous 3-5 days.

Our journey to the Rupina La Pass trek starts with a drive to Gorkha from Kathmandu. From Gorkha Bazar, we will start our trekking to Darundi Khola by following the trekking trail to Mt.Manaslu. We will cross Rupina and join the circuit trek to Manaslu at Nyak. We will cross Rupina-La and come across Manaslu Circuit, from where we will descend to the Marshyandi River and reunite with the Annapurna Circuit trail.

Today you will arrive at the most beautiful city of Nepal, ie. Kathmandu. Upon your arrival, our representative will be waiting for you there before you arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport. He will receive you in a private vehicle and help you accommodate in a nice hotel. You can relax and freshen up and prepare yourself for the trek.
We suggest you visit nearby shops and areas and explore the city in dept. If you don’t have the necessary trekking items, then you can rent or purchase them at the shops that have varieties of trekking gear and equipment.

Today after having morning breakfast, our guide will receive you and will take you on a trip to the two most famous places around Kathmandu Valley. The city of glory where you will be visiting Bouddha Nath Stupa and Pasupati Nath Temple will refresh your mind, and you will get a chance to explore the culture and traditions of Kathmandu natives.
We will visit Pasupatinath Temple, which is a famous and sacred Hindu temple situated in the eastern part of Kathmandu city. Here, you will explore the religion, art, and culture of Hindu peoples. This place attracts hundreds of tourists every year as it was listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Cultural Heritage site in 1979.
Our next destination would be Bouddhanath Stupa which is located about 11km away from the northeastern side of Kathmandu city. The stupa is said to be the largest and biggest Stupa in Nepal. This I say holy pilgrimage place mostly for Tibetian and Buddhist community peoples. The stupa is a 36-meter high stupa that is a center of Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal. People also visit this place for Meditation and Yoga purposes. You will see many Monks and Yogi around.
We will take lots of pictures and videos here and make great memories. If you want we can explore more of these places too. Today our tour guide will give you a brief description of the Tilicho Lake and Mesokanta Trek.

We will have a long day today as we will drive to Gorkha along with our trekking group after having morning breakfast at Kathmandu. Gorkha is 79km far away from Kathmandu, and it will take about 9-10 hours of drive in a vehicle.
Gorkha place is famous for its historical, legendary brave Gurkha soldiers. On your way to Gorkha, you will see scenic views of hills, small local villages, landscapes, and forests.
This place was the unification camp of modern Nepal which was started by Prithvi Narayan Shah in the 18th century. We will arrive at the little village of Baluwa after 10hours of the ride, which is next to the Daraudi River, which will give us a chance to get refreshment in the water by bathing.

Today is the first day of our trekking, so we will have our morning breakfast at Baluwa and head towards Barpak, which is a small village in Gorkha. We will begin our trek by walking towards Mandre Village and take a steep walk on the trails.
After further walking to a dens village, we will reach a small plateau where we will take a short break for rest and lunch. We will walk through the big center market as we reach Barpak.

Today morning we will enjoy our morning breakfast with the view of the lovely Buddha Himal Range over the place of Barpak. We will leave Barpak behind and continue ascending through the forests of Rhododendrons and oaks.
As we keep trekking in the routes, we will notice that the Himalayas appear much closer than before, giving us stunning panoramic views of it. We will take a rest and have time for lunch, and after lunch, we will continue walking in a trail that is much easier for herders grazing land Gaukharkha.

Today will be a long and tough day as we will trek to Rupinala Phedi. We will slowly begin our journey by crossing over the Daraudi River. As we reach Sanrung Kharka valley, the journey to Rupinala becomes intriguing. Rupinala Phedi is also called Rupina La base camp or Rupina La Pass. We will set up a tent at the side of Daraudi Khola and stay overnight at that place.

Another tough and long day where the difficulty level is much more than before. We will have to ascend uphill all day today so that we can reach Himal Glacier Camp from Rupina La pass. Because of the step-up to the top hill with trails full of stone gravels, it will become hard to descend afterward.
This is going to be the highest trail during your Rupina La Pass trekking journey, which has an altitude of 15,434ft. We will further ascend to Rupina La submit and start descending downhill to reach Buddha Himal Glacier. It will take about 2-3 hours of walk from Rupina submit to reach our destination.

We start descending the valley and cross the big grassy slopes today, leaving Buddha Himal camp behind. We will get fantastic views of Ganesh Himal on our way to Nyak. We will descend downhill to Budhi Gandaki Khol and further trek towards Tsum valley. We will have to walk on rocky slopes like yesterday and finally enter Nyak.
We will follow the trek down through the pastier and reach the campsite. You will get to see the locals at Nyak and have a conversation with them.

We will trek to Ghap Village today by following the routes upstream of Deng River. Deng River has a very less settlement of locals with tiny villages of only four houses. We will avoid walking on the conventional steep climb and trek through the newly built rock tunnel.
We will notice there is the cultural influence of Tibetan people at Ghap village with their mani stones and Chortens everywhere.

After spending a night at Ghap Village, we will start walking towards our next destination that is Lho Gaun. We will be crossing a wooden bridge over the Budi Khola and follow the route that is lined with houses with cultivated and terraced fields. After we reach Namur, we will see a police check post. We will further come across the Hinan river and continue our journey to Sho. We will get views of the Naike range, Manaslu north range, and Manaslu from here.

We will walk past the stone gate and long Mani sone after crossing Lo Gaun behind. We will get the beautiful view of peak 29 ahead of us. If you want, we can further walk to Pungen Glacier, from where we will get a very close view of Mt.Manaslu. We will follow the trail of lateral Moraine of Pungen River as we head towards Sama Gompa. From the Sama, we will further walk for 20-30minutes and reach our destination of Sama Gompa.

Today after walking for ten days straight, we will relax our body and explore the Sama gaou in dept. We will also have an excursion to Makalu Base Camp today. We will let our bodies be acclimatized and visit Pungen Gompa or trek to Makalu base camp. There is also another option where we can visit nearby Lake Birendra.
After exploring Gompa and enjoying the views, we will return to the lodge and spend overnight there.

To reach Samdo, we will descend to Budhi Gandaki River from Sama Gompa and. We will cross a bridge that has turned left and walk over a side stream. The trail will take us to the left of Manaslu Base Camp, where we will pass several mani walls of the valley in Larkya Trail. The routes are wider and easy trails. We will walk above the river, passing the forests of Juniper and Birch of Kerma Kharka.
After half an hour of hiking through passes, we will cross the Budhi Gandaki River over a wooden bridge and ascend between two forks of the river. We will see the white mani, and from here, we will finally reach Samdo village.

Slowly we will follow the trails, which id wider and has a gentle pass in many fields. We will see many prayer flags, large mani walls, and stone archways on our way. We will then further walk down to the river and cross a wooden bridge and ascend uphill. We will cross two streams and come across Larkya Glacier, from where we will see the Salka Khola.
After climbing uphill again, we will reach a stone guest house which is not a lodge but rather known as a retreat or shelter called Dharmasala. This place is also called with the name of Larkya Phedi.

We will climb to Cho Chanda, leaving Dharmashala behind, and make our way towards Larkya La Pass. We will slowly make a steep ascend uphill towards the snowed-up pass from where we will get to the top of the high hill pass of Manaslu.
We will get a beautiful view of Manaslu panorama, Himlung Himal, Choe Himal, Gyangi Kung, Kang Kuru, and the Annapurna II (7,936m). After admiring the views of mountains, we will descend to trails to Bhimtang and steep through moraines, and finally reach our destination.

Moving towards Tilje village, we will walk through the glacier stream and cross the wooden bridge. We will cross high pass pasture and take descend steeply to the valley of Burdin Khola.
From the river, at 4,150m, we will get majestic views of Manaslu to the Southeast and Annapurna II in the Southwest. Across the bridge of Dudh Khola, we will take descend into the forests of Rhododendron flowers. Slowly we will follow the trail to the narrow valley and reach the highest cultivated land, which is Karche. We will take rest here for a while and start walking further into the fields and make ascend over to a ridge.
We will cross a river and trek through many terraced fields, rhododendrons, and oak forests and finally reach our destination Tilje.

Today is going to be our last day for walking, where we will follow the trail downstream of Marshyangdi River. We will pass through the scattered villages and reach our destination Tal where we will spend overnight. We can also customize this trek and drive away to Kathmandu on the same day, but we suggest you take a rest day and explore the village Tal.

Today is the final day for our trek, where we will drive back to Kathmandu from Besisahar, which will take about 9-10 hours of drive. Drive will take you to the down streams of the river, which will pass through Chamje Village and Himal Pani. Enjoy the scenic drive where you will see local villages with their cultivated fields. Beautiful views of hills and mountains can be seen as we stop during our journey for lunch.
We will transfer back to the hotel after arriving in Katmandu. You can have rest, fresh up and if you like you can roam around Kathmandu City at night and experience nightlife at Kathmandu.

This is a challenging yet exciting trek that every adventurous traveler takes. Comfort levels are more basic than some popular trekking routes of Nepal. However, trek to this region is not extremely challenging as we take a couple of acclimatization during the trek.
Covid-19 created one of the threats to the minds of every voyager. However, since the situation is modest, you can quickly go to several nations. However, the priority should be safety precautions.
This trek can be completed within two weeks. We can also customize this itinerary as per your choice and demand. We will have exploration and acclimatization days in between the trek. If you like, we can arrange this for less or more than two weeks as well.
