Langtang Valley with Tamang Heritage Trek takes you to beautiful hike points like Kalotuppo and Tserko Ri. The routes are full of rhododendron and pine forests. The path goes along with the river and comes across many suspension bridges. The main attraction of this trek is the combination of Tamang and Tibetan culture. You will encounter spectacular terrace farming, ancient monasteries, and snow-capped mountain ranges. You will get to see the glaciers from the viewpoints. Firstly, we will take a day to explore and visit the sites of Kathmandu valley. Then the journey begins of Langtang Valley with Tamang Heritage Trek with a scenic drive to Syabru Besi (1467m). Syabru Besi is the starting point of our trek; we will trek to Tamang village – Gatlang (2240m). From Gatlang, the trek heads to Tatopani (2607m). After enjoying the natural hot spring, the trail heads to Nagthali (3165m). From Nagthali we will trek to Thuman (2338m) and we will hike to Kalotuppo (4705m) for a sunrise view. Then we trek to Langtang village (3430m) via Shera Gaun (2563m). Then we will trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3870m) and explore for a day. Then we will descend the trail and get back to Syabru Besi via Lama Hotel (2470m) and drive to Kathmandu.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Welcome to Kathmandu!

As you land in the Tribhuvan International Airport,you will be welcome by our representatives in the airport in the proper Nepali culture of Putting Tika and Mala.You will be transferred to your hotel room from the airport.

You can take a shower and also take a rest for a while. Today you can visit a different place in Kathmandu. You can see the Thamel area or the Asan area, which is one of the tourist destinations of Nepal as well are the most crowded place in Nepal. Here you can shopfor different clothes or ani handicrafts.

In the evening, we will provide you a delightful welcome dinner.After the dinner, you will meet our guide, who will give you all the Trek descriptionsof the Everest base camp with Gokyo Lake via Chola pass.

You will stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Sightseeing around the Kathmandu

Trip duration: Around 9 hours

Maximum Altitude: Kathmandu (1350m/4428ft)

Today we will take an entire day to explore Kathmandu city. We will start by visiting the holy place of Hindus – Pashupatinath Temple. Taking the blessing from Lord Shiva, we will drive to Boudhanath Stupa. The stupa holds religious importance among the Buddhists. From here we will visit Swayambunath Stupa, from here you can see half of Kathmandu city.

Then we will explore a few more UNESCO-listed world heritage sites of Nepal. We will visit Patan Durbar Square which reflects the art, architecture, and cultures of the Newari community. Then we will visit Basantapur Durbar Square also known as Kathmandu Durbar Square in the evening. Finally, we will return back to the hotel and prepare for the trek.

Day 3: Drive to Syabru Besi (1467m)

Kilometers: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (145 km)

Travel duration: 7 hours.

Maximum Altitude:  Syabrubesi (1467m)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Our journey begins with a beautiful drive to Syabru Besi. First, you will have breakfast in the hotel then we will pick you up from the hotel and drive to the bus stand and begin the journey. The route passes along the beautiful views of landscapes, villages, and the Langtang Himal ranges.

After 7 hours of drive, we will reach Syabru Besi and get to our tea house. After getting freshen up, you can walk around the nearby places of the village. Overnight stay in Syabru Besi.

Day 04: Trek from Syabru Besi to Gatlang (2270m)

Kilometers: 12.1 km

Trek Duration: 6 hrs

Maximum Altitude: Gatlang (2270m/ 7742ft)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Syabru Besi is the starting point of our official trek. After having breakfast, we will commence our trek towards Gatlang. Ascending for two hours takes you to a vantage point from where you can see Ganesh Himal and Langtang Himal ranges. Continuing the walk, we will pass through various mani walls, gumbas, and chortens. Then we will reach Goljung where we will have a short lunch break.

Walking for a few hours from here will take you to the Tamang village – Gatlang. You can visit the monastery in the evening. Overnight stay in Gatlang.

Day 5: Trek from Gatlang to Tatopani (2607m)

Kilometers: 12.3 km

Trek Duration: 5 to 6 hrs

Maximum Altitude: Tatopani (2607m/ 8553ft)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Continuing the trail, today we will head towards Tatopani. The path to Tatopani can be a bit challenging part of the trek. We will gradually descend along with the Bammdang Khola. Crossing a suspension bridge we will reach Gongang village for our lunch.

From Gongang comes a two hours steep climb to Tatopani. After six hours of trek, you will reach Tatopani. Here you can enjoy a warm dive in the natural hot spring. Overnight stay in Tatopani.

Day 6: Trek from Tatopani to Nagthali (3165m)

Kilometers: 10 km

Trek Duration: 6 hrs

Maximum Altitude: Nagthali (3165m)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Continuing the journey, today we will ascend towards Nagthali. The trail passes through the beautiful blooming rhododendron forest. We will cross the Brimdang village and start one of the steepest parts of the trek. You will be able to see a few gray Langur monkeys in the forest. We will cross the ridge from where you can see the panoramic view of Langtang ranges towards the east.

You will be able to see Ganesh Himal towards the west. Finally, you will reach Nagthali which is our place for the night.

Day 7: Trek from Nagthali to Thuman (2338m) and early morning hike to Kalotuppo (4705m)

Kilometers: 11 km

Trek Duration: 6 hrs

Maximum Altitude: Kalotuppo (4705m)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today, we will have an early morning breakfast and leave Nagthali. We will begin the day with a hike to Kalotuppo which lies at an altitude of 4705m. Reaching Kalotuppo gives you the most magical sunrise view rising from the mountains. Enjoying this view, we will descend to Nagthali and continue the trail to Thuman.

Descending through deep woodlands, our trail reaches Thuman. Most of the culture and traditions in Thuman are Tibet influenced. The houses in Thuman are built in a Tibetan way. Overnight stay in Thuman.

Day 8: Trek from Thuman to Sherpa Gaun (2563m)

Kilometers: Thuman to Sherpagaon (13 km)

Trek duration: 6 to 7 hours

Maximum Altitude: Sherpagaon (2563m)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Leaving Thuman we will head towards Sherpa Gaun. We will walk down to Bhotekoshi and climb uphill to Bridim. The whole day trek offers you the view of Langtang Himal. We will have lunch in this Tibetan-influenced village – Bridim. After lunch, we will continue the trek and reach Sherpa Gaun. Overnight stay in Sherpa Gaun.

Day 9:Trek from Sherpa Gaun to Langtang village (3430m)

Kilometers: Sherpagaon to Langtang village (22.6 km)

Trek duration: 6 to 7 hours

Maximum Altitude: Langtang village (3430m)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After having breakfast we will continue the trail and descend through the rhododendron forest. While descending, you can see a panoramic view of Langtang ranges and Gosaikunda valley. After 2 hours of trek, we will reach Lama Hotel for lunch. From here is a climb to a steep forest. Then the trail passes through the horse stable and enters the valley. After a few hours, we will ascend and cross the trail that takes us to Langtang village.

The village gives you a closer view of the mountains. Overnight stay in a lodge in Langtang village.

Day 10: Trek from Langtang village to Kyanjin Gompa (3870m)

Kilometers: Langtang village to Kyanjin Gompa (9.7 km)

Trek duration: 4 to 5 hours.

Maximum Altitude: Kyanjin Gompa (3870m)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Continuing the journey, we will direct you towards Kyanjin Gompa. We will ascend down the beautiful alpine forest. Then we will walk down the steep paths which take us to the tiny settlements of yak herders. Form here the path goes alongside Langtang River. Heading towards Kyanjin, you will start to see the mani walls which are full of Buddhist mantras. We will pause and enjoy the view of Kyanjin Gompa, and icefalls from the viewpoint of Laja Khola.

Finally, we will reach Kyanjin after 4 to 5 hours of trek. Overnight stay in a tea house in Kyanjin.

Day 11:Explore Kyanjin Gompa and hike to Tserko Ri (4984m)

Trek duration: 8 hours.

Maximum Altitude: Tserko Ri (4984m)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today we will take an entire day to acclimatize and explore Kyanjin Gompa. After having a warm breakfast, we will hike to Tserko Ri which lies at an altitude of 4984m. The route to the viewpoint of Tserko Ri is quite steep. Reaching this point, you will be able to capture twenty-one different summits of Nepal. Enjoying the magical view we will descend to Kyanjin and visit various ancient monasteries and explore the area.

Overnight stay in Kyanjin.

Day 12: Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2470m)

Kilometers: Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (10.9 km)

Trek duration: 6 hours.

Maximum Altitude: Lama Hotel (2470m)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

We will start the day with a delicious breakfast and the views of Kyanjin. Then we will continue our journey and descend to Lama Hotel. Giving the farewell to the Buddhist community and mountain ranges of the region, we will head to Lama Hotel. Our trail passes through yak pastures and blooming alpine forest. Descending to Lama Hotel will be easy.

After 6 hours of trek, we will reach Lama Hotel and spend the night in a tea house.

Day 13: Trek from Lama Hotel to Syabru Besi

Kilometers: Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi (11.3 km)

Trek duration: 6 to 7 hours.

Maximum Altitude:  Syabrubesi (1503m)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After having breakfast, we will begin our last day of the trek. Today we will leave behind beautiful memories of the Langtang region and head to Syabru Besi. Our trail goes through the forested hills. Trekking for 6 to 7 hours, we will reach Syabru Besi which is the last point of the trek.

Overnight stay in Syabru Besi.

Day 14: Drive to Kathmandu

Kilometers: Syabrubesi to Kathmandu (145 km)

Trek duration: 7 hours.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Ending the trek, we will drive to Kathmandu early in the morning. We will be driving through the same highway we followed earlier. We will have a lunch break in the middle and continue our journey to Kathmandu. As soon as we arrive in the valley, we will transfer you to the hotel so that you can rest.

If you are not tired, you can use your leisure time for some quick shopping in the Thamel area. Overnight stay in the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 15: Final Departure

Meals: Breakfast

Today is your last day in Nepal; you will be leaving Nepal with lots of memories with you. After having breakfast, our representative will drive you to the Tribhuvan International Airport as per your flight time. You can contact us for any further trips or vacations in Nepal.
